Spaceships with Wild Eyes - An Interview

When It´s over é um verdadeiro massacre de wall of sound.

Wild Eyes é elegantemente cruel e deliciosamente delirante. ACIMA.

***** Interview with Wild Eyes *****

Q. When did Wild Eyes starts, tell us about the history...
A: Ok well I'm Eric. I've known the guys in the band since high school and we formed around 2010. I was heavily into shoegaze at the time so I just wrote the songs and showed them to the guys to play live.

Q: Who are your influences?
A: My influences have changed a lot since our last release but my 2 main influences on the stuff we released so far would have to be everything mbv has ever done (obviously haha) and mono's "walking cloud.." album.

Q. Made a list of 5 albuns of all time…
A: All time is pretty hard to choose from. I think my choices are a little biased to some classic records I've been listening to lately. These albums probably sound so cliche but you asked me of all time, so..yeah lol. They're great. In no particular order:

1. Pink Floyd: Dark Side of the Moon
2. Jimi Hendrix: Axis of Love
3. John Lennon: Plastic Ono Band
4. Beatles: Abbey Road
5. Led Zeppelin 1

Q. How do you feel playing live?
A: Live is so much fun and exciting when u play new songs for the first few times but it can also get stale when playing the same songs over and over and over again.

Q. How do you describe Wild Eyes´s sounds?
A: Layered Sonic Waves woven in Distortion...I guess. But I would say our new stuff is a little different.

Q: Tell us about the process of recording the songs ?
A: every song is different but it usually starts with just messing around with an instrument, finding something cool, and then working on it for a very long time.

Q. Which new bands do you recommended?
A: I haven't been listening to any new bands lately but I like caribou's new album. Lately i've been listening to a lot of rare Italian/French library music from the 60's/70's. Here's a link to a playlist I made if you're interested: http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLN5ZnBQE56Ep9jqijdeMyHY-58UDGNihy

Q: Which bands you love to made a cover version?
A: Pink Floyd's "any colour you like".

Q: What´s the plans for future....
A: Release our first vinyl, play some shows, and make some shirts!

Q: Any parting words?
A: New material is coming this year. It's different but in a good way. It's definitely more psychedelic and groovin now. I'm exploring more sounds than I ever used before so that's exciting and I can't wait for you guys to hear it.

Thanks for the interview!
