Come On Die Young with Electric Floor - An Interview

***** Interview with Electric Floor *****

Q. When did Electric Floor started, tell us about the history
1) Electric Floor is an italian band founded around 2009. The band concept is based on emotive feelings. The group currently consists of : Emanuele Chiarelli: Vocals/Guitar. Simone Pecora: Guitar. Simone Costantino De Luca: Programming/Keys. Fabio Cosentino: Bass. During the past few years. we have released two self-produced albums ("300" and "Falsità reali"). These albums were recorded in Picicca Studio and co-produced by Dario Brunori. One of our strenght is the live show. We had the pleasure of playing with important alternative italian bands.

Q: Who are your influences?
2) We get inspiration from new wave and 80's post punk, In particular, we are influenced by bands who use drum machine. We are also strongly influenced by Post-Rock.

Q. Make a list of 5 albuns of all time…
3) Could we make an exception to the rule? It's very difficult for us list only 5 albums. In random order:
Play - Moby
Violator - Depeche Mode
Blood Sugar Sex Magik - Red Hot Chili Peppers
Ok Computer - Radiohead
Boy - U2
Come On Die Young - Mogwai

Q. How do you feel playing live?
$) Creating and recording new tracks is very exciting, but the live show is our dimension. Playing live it's a way to express our emotive states and our passion for the music. We really enjoy it. It's the only moment when everything else doesn' t matter.

Q. How do you describe Electric Floor sounds?
5) We are four guys with different music tastes, so in our music you can find a lot of influences. It's a mix of ambient sounds, tribal rhythms and obsessive riffs. It's very difficult to define what our music is, but we think it's a melting pot of New Wave, Shoegaze, Chillwave, Dream Pop of course.

Q: Tell us about the process of recording the songs ?
6) " Your Blue " , our new single, was recorded in our rehearsal room with the help of Gianluca Gallo and Alessandro Mazzotta. After the recent line-up changes, Your blue was an experiment, a way to see how this "sound revolution" looks like. It's Lo-Fi take with few expectations . In two months has reached satisfying results, that we didn't know. It was a great joy to hear other people say that we're on the right way! https://soundcloud.com/electricfloor/electric-floor-your-blue

Q. Which new bands do you recommended?
7)This is another question that is very difficult to answer. As well as the favourite albums it's complicated reccomanding new bands. We spend a lot of time listening to music, so this is our "temporary list": Jungle Did M+A Drink To Me And why not? Electric Floor.

Q: Which band would you love to made a cover version of?
8) No doubt about this: Slipping Away (Moby)

Q: What´s the plans for future..
9)We're planning to record new album and we're constantly fighting to get some label's attention.

Q: Any parting words?
